At Mondial the Serbians revealed that they had traced the ownership of St
Mich III as far as 1913 in the Austro-Hungarian records. They will publish
their results shortly. They said there were 3 owners after the Prince of
Montenegro. The Prince wanted a boat "from a famous man" for entertaining;
Verne fit the bill.

I think it is likely the yacht was confiscated by the Austrian Government in
1914, and probably passed into Italian hands after the war.
