For marketing reasons apparently books published outside the US do not
appear in "Books in Print" and hence do not make it elsewhere such as
Amazon. Even books published in Canada are unavailable in the US I have
found. There is a special site "Worldwide books in print", requiring a
separate subscription, and dnot used by librarians etc. R.R. Bowker is the
culprit.
