I sincerely doubt that. He probably used some ghost-writers, but I think he
personally did the creative part of every book. Proof? After his death some
of the co-writers tried to capitalize on his name and wrote books like "The
Son of Monte Cristo" (by Lermina) or "The Son of Porthos" (by Mahalin) etc.
Those books are awful.

You might like to visit the site www.pastichesdumas.com - "Alexandre Dumas,
suites, plagiats, pastiches et hommages". It is in French, but Google
Translator might be of help.

Since we are in the Jules Verne Forum, one remark about the book
"L'étonnante aventure de la mission Barsac". I didn't know that it wasn't
actually written by Verne but compiled by his son Michael, but I always
considered this book to be very good, in range with "Treasure Island" and
"Around the World in 80 days", which are my favorite Verne's books.
