Dear Peter,

You are right about Verne's attitude towards Dreyfus. I cited too hastily what Volker Dehs had written about Les Freres Kip without taking into account the rest of the text about Dreyfus affair. Verne's change of mind in the Dreyfus case, as I learn, was Jean Jules-Verne theory, for which, however, there are no clear evidences. Those allegedly found in Un Drame en Livonie or Les Freres Kip have their origin in misdating of the manuscripts. Apology to the members of this Forum for misinforming them and to Volker Dehs for incorrect citation from his work.
