Dear Ian,

my congratulations for this found. I can imagine that many time is necessary to look for and to find such documents. Undoubtly, there are still many documents to find of traces the Verne company left on their different trips. And it might be very interesting to show how JV noted these events in his diary which is sometimes a little disappointing. If you want to write an article and publish it in the Bulletin de la Societe Jules Verne, as it has been suggested, I offer you my help (I'm a member of the publishing comittee). The "problem" is that the director publishes only french texts, even if it is a little anachronistical - but I think one could resolve this point.
