difference.  It's the original Meteor story as written by Jules himself, not the forgery perpetrated by his son.

Is there an article or book that gives a good overview of what is considered authentic, and what are considered forgery, re-writes by others, and/or just plain horrible/hack jobs translations [English]. Some of us are Verne cognoscenti apprentices at best and, at least speaking for myself, are a bit bewildered as to all the different versions of the same titles, and need an accessible document that will help us  winnow the chaff from the wheat. I realize I just need to learn to read French, but even then there may be versions to watch out for (and since right now I'm needing to concentrate on learning Japanese - my Fiancee's native language -- learning French is going to be postponed a few years, though she wants to learn French eventually as well, anyway I digress and am trapped in a parenthetical....).

David
