Verne had originally planned "80 days" to be a play, and he wrote a draft
which he developed in cooperation with Edouard Cadol. That version never
came off the ground, and Verne went on to write the novel. Later, he tried
to turn it into a play again, this time together with D'Ennery. This newer
version was a great success, and ran for years on end.

I can't tell you how long the show ran in London. From the description at
eBay, it seems to be a faithful English adaptation of the French play.

I don't think any of Verne's earlier plays made it to London. While they
may have had a moderate success in Paris, they certainly weren't brilliant
enough to be taken abroad. Moreover, they probably were to "Parisian" for
the English taste.

Cheers,
Garmt.
