Dear all,

I received the following in the inbox of the Dutch JV Society. I'm not
going to put it on our website, since we try to focus our online agenda on
activities in the Dutch-speaking countries, but of course some of you may
be interested, especially the Brits among you.

Cheers,
Garmt.

On the very same day that the Bank of England is robbed, Mr Phileas Fogg and his faithful manservant Passepartout hurriedly escape London in the middle of the night to

circumnavigate the globe in a mere 80 days.

On boats and trains and elephants, from the Mystical East via the Darkest Jungle to the Wild West, Jules Verne's tale of travel and adventure bursts on to the stage with the unstoppable force of a runaway steam locomotive.

Toby Hulse adapts and directs. His previous work at Bristol Old Vic includes the No Loud Bangs series and The Chatterbox. The cast of three are: Howard Coggins (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland; Beasts and Beauties), Craig Edwards (The Great Big Story Mix Up, A Midsummer Night's Dream) and Nick Caldecott in his Bristol Old Vic debut.

Around The World in 80 Days marks Brunel 200. It is also The Great Reading Adventure 2006 - a scheme encouraging children and young adults in the South West to read Jules Verne's fast-paced classic.
