Dear friends!

By suggestion from a member in the Swedish Jules Verne
Society, I visited the on-line database at the
University of Helisngfors, and found a short note that
I need your comments about.

It is dated in Dec 15th 1885 and published in the
newspaper "Finland", and tells about a future
expedition to the Dutch colony at Papua Guinea. The
only problem left is to get money to the trip
down-under. The journey will be made with the steamer
"Jules Verne" from Amsterdam.

Do you know, dear friends, anything about this ship?
And perhaps some of our well-informed members in
Holland know anything about this expedition, if it
ever got to run?

Best regards
Peter Harold
