Part of my message (below) is cut off for some reason, and I'm not sure it
got to the list. I wondered whether "nautron" could be connected with the
Sanskrit "nottaram." ("m."=nasalized vowel), meaning "nothing further",
given the meaning Aronnax later assigns to the phrase.
