Just a follow-up.

The information in the forthcoming NAJVS newsletter regarding the hotel
isn't any different from what Peter had already posted to the forum, which
I'll repost here for your convenience...

For our NAJVS annual meeting in May (25-28), 25 rooms are blocked for us at
the Tazewell Hotel, 245 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA 23510. Website:
www.thetazewell.com. Phone: 757-623-6200. It's a historical old boutique
hotel, and we have the conference rate of $79 for singles, and $109 for a
room with two beds. The deadline for booking the rooms is April 25th, and I
recommend booking early as the Virginia Arts Festival will be underway and
it is Memorial Day Weekend.

Jean-Michel's article will contain additional information about where we are
having dinner on Thursday night.

I just called the Tazewell and made my reservation with only the following
anomaly, the woman on the phone quoted a single rate of $89, which didn't
match with our information. She double checked and found that their
computer system hadn't been updated with the $79 date.

Getting Walter's message, I tried to make my reservations (May 25-28) at the
Tazewell and... it worked!

I don't know why, it's probably depending totally of the person you reach
there... I talked to the switching board woman (aparently everybody else was
busy...) - with a great sense of humor. She discovered the NAJVS code and I
got what Peter told us as conference rate.

I'm sorry, Walter, you got probably a person for whom his (or hers) personal
problems were bigger than your reservation call.

All NAJVS members will receive soon the March issue of our newsletter
Extraordinary Voyages with all infomation to make early reservations.
