Dear Friends,
There have been some speculations in the Forum whether I'll be able to attend
the NAJVS meeting in Norfolk in May. I am sorry to say that due to my health,
I still don't know if I can do it, especially because I cannot fly
unaccompanied and a long flight for a short duration is very tiresome.
Nevertheless, the good news is that I accepted an invitation from the CIJV and
the city of Amiens, to attend the inauguration of the Maison Jules Verne in
Friday, 24 March, the 101st anniversary of Jules Verne death. My wife Zahava
and I will stay in Amiens for almost a week, arriving Tuesday night, 21
March, and leaving Monday, 27 March. I don't know any more details - the
travel arrangements are done by the lovely Céline Giton, who hosted us during
the Mondial. If any of you will be present in Amiens during this period, we'll
be very happy to meet. I hope I'll have internet access during the week (my
boss expects me to do some work while I am away ;-)), so I can write you in
real time and to tell you about the festivities.
Best,
Zvi.
