Of course, my google search for "League for Truth and Veracity" turns up
NOTHING!!!

The joke is definitely on yours truly. "League for Truth and Veracity",
indeed!

This surely qualifies as the best April Fool joke in human history. My
congratulations to the joker, whoever he may be.
