We have used these covers since Verniaan no 25. Before that, there was a
different design. The chromo covers are those that were used by Elsevier
for a series that was published in parallel with the famous 'blue covers'.
I believe similar chromos were published in France, but the Dutch
adaptations are slightly different.
You can view the covers of the Verniaan at
<

The Dutch JV Society has published a bibliography of the chromo covers in
the Elsevier series, see <

After the Verniaan about Cesar Cascabel, we will have to think of a
different design, as Elsevier stopped publishing new titles after 1891.
Cheers,
Garmt.
