Volker, Thank you for mentioning the version in the Revue, which I (to
tell the truth) had forgotten about! But I have found out so much more
since that original article was published (to coincide with the
restoration of Michel's film of LA DESTINEE DE JEAN MORENAS), adding to
his film career, I feel the obligation to take the story further. The
evidence steadily points to Michel's motion picture career as of an
importance to almost rival his career as a prose writer.
