- so you'd think a little could be diverted to something useful
like that.
Perhaps in time for 2028 ... ?

You would think so. After all, they can put a man on the moon. The
problematic factor is "when". eventually the question of what an author
really meant to say, and was prevented by force majeure from saying, becomes
overwhelmingly important, or not important, depending on the degree of
scholarly interest in the author. In Verne's case, of course, the interest
is accelerating, but how does one forecast? A lot of things can happen
between now and 2028!
