BlankWe have just left Aden in British Yemen and I am pleased to report that
we are a full sixteen hours ahead of schedule. This piece of news came as a
relief to Passepartout who been's worrying about his gasburner again.
Despite that worry, he seemed to enjoy Aden a lot although we only had two
hours in the city and are now steaming out of the Red Sea and into the
Indian Ocean headed for Bombay in British India. I did discover something a
little odd though. At 9.00am this morning (just as we sighted Aden) this box
of tricks started to buzz. I tried hitting it and a box appeared on the
monitor saying "Temporal Instability detected" and then produced a longitude
and a latitude. It didn't take long to realise that whatever this alarm was
it was happening just off the port bow of the Mongolia. I dashed outside and
shall remain convinced to the day I die that I caught sight of a blue object
disappearing. Passepartout thinks that I saw things due to the heat but I
know what I saw. Next stop Bombay, and based on the speed of the Mongolia we
should arrive there by October 20th, two days ahead of schedule.
