Yes, you're right ;-)
=> See COMPERE Daniel.

Hello,

I was just wondering if it had ever been noticed that Jules Verne made a mistake with dates in "Journey to the centre of the Earth"?

The book begins in 1863
Professor Lidenbrock is 50 and therefore was born on 1813
Professor Lidenbrock says that the famous English chemist Humphry Davy paid him a visit in 1825 where they spent "...a long time discussing the hypothesis of the liquid nature of the terrestial nucleus"
BUT.. in 1825 Professor Lindenbrock was only 12 years old!! (or possibly 13 or even 11 depending on when his birthday is)
                                  regards,
                                     Phil Caldwell
