sure I would be happy to. I actually only met him once, but I think it's
when I was a grad student and he appeared at a conference on Celine...he
stormed into the conference with "breaking news" for Celine scholars. He
had found a tape recording of one of Celine's lost lovers, I think...see
you all soon in NM!

Yes, I'll schedule a time during the conference for appreciating Stan's
unique contributions. I myself had the privilege of giving him a little
assistance on his groundbreaking ORINOCO translation. In addition to
myself, I'd like to invite eulogies from those of us at the conference who
collaborated on projects with Stan - Art, Walter, Jean-Michel, Peter,
others. Perhaps each of us could share a memorable moment from these
projects?

And I have ben honored by appearing on the same title page with Stan. I
imagine Rick will be able to arange some words of memorial for Stan at our
