Hector Servadac ne put s’empêcher de sourire aux explications données par
Ben-Zouf. Puis, [il promit à Isac] {il promit au juif} Hakhabut que
justice lui serait rendue, – ce qui mit un terme à l’interminable émission
des « Dieu d’Israël, d’Abraham et de Jacob ».
« Mais, dit le comte Timascheff, [lorsque Isac] {lorsque le juif} se fut
retiré, comment pourront-ils payer, ces gens-là ?
