BlankI thought that members would like to know that I have just compeleted
the first act (which comprises seven scenes) and have finished the first act
at Kholby (with the train running out of track). I am hoping to make the
second act roughly the same size (it might be a little longer but not by
much) and would like to consult on the thorny issue of sutee. The audience
that will be present for this performance will range in ages from 2 to at
least 85, therefore would like to know if it seems reasonable to replace the
act of sutee with something of a similar nature (for instance an act of
torture by means of a really, really cheesy pop song of the Princess for
having defiled something). As I am resident in Wales, what I was proposing
was changing the Cult of Kali for a tribe of Welsh Indians who are descended
from a group of druids who were ejected from Wales in the mid 1600's and
have developed their own culture in a way similar to those in Patagonia in
Argentina and that the thing that the Princess had done to upset them is
translate their national anthemn which is a Welsh nonsense poem called
"Miggadly Maggaldy"). Does this sound a sensible solution as to how to
introduce the Princess but avoid the thorny issue of sutee in the first
place?
