The articles by O Dumas are freely available in the BSJV. As always, they
far from give the whole story. Despite their pioneering value, his articles
are in general selective in their evidence, not even normally indicating
which document they're quoting, and often give deceptively short quotes and
rarely indicate exactly how they differ from the published versions.

Subject: Hector Servadac after 100 years
Is the 1977 article of this title by Oliver Dumas available anywhere
(english or french) to a western audience? Does it contain the full story of
Hetzel insisting on Verne changing the crash ending? And is the original
crash ending connected with Verne's rather ghoulish joke having the hero's
name a mirror of Cadavres? Does it also include history of the complaints
about the book? or is that to be found elsewhere.
