you have to look and listen until the end of the clip - they talk about searching a way to run compressors who are filling the airpressed bottles also with air - I only wonder how the energy bilance should work with air when they even have problems to solve this problems with H2 - power since years!

  I saw this when it aired (no pun intended) - and all they are doing is using compressed air instead of batteries.


  They try and make it seem that it runs on "air" but as you say - it's only the storage medium for energy supplied from some other source.

    Something doesn't make sense in this clip - as the compressed air can only return less energy than what was used in the initial compression - so even if the car is made light weight and efficient , there has to be an initial energy consumption and discharge of emissions - unless the initial energy source is hydro electric power or nuclear generated power.
