To my dearest Grauben,

I realise that this letter will not get to you much before we get back but I
wanted to reassure you that we will be back before the end of July. The
reason for this bold statement of fact. The last three days has seen nothing
but overcast skies and when you have overcast skies you don't get any sun.
No sun means no Scartaris shadow, and no shadow means no directions to take
(and as the last day is in two days time I don't think the sun is going to
shine on us at all), which means we will be packing up soon and coming back
home.
