Congratulation, Brian.
There is, indeed, something Vernian in it, because I feel the EUropeans will love your new President - until the January 20, 2009, when they will realize it is, again, just an American. The EUrope does not understand America, just as Jules did not understand it. Albeit, he was more steady in his admiration of the US.
