Dear All,
It is my sad duty to report the death of Dr Michael Crichton, creator of ER
and Jurassic Park, who has died from cancer, at the age of 66. Very much a
Verne fan, he wrote a perceptive analysis of Journey to the Centre of the
Earth (available on:
http://home.netvigator.com/~wbutcher/books/crichton%20intro.pdf). The
influence of Verne's novel is particularly apparent in his Timeline.
A tragic loss.
