Well, I've tried to do *my* best to promote Bill's excellent
translation, forcing several classes of undergraduate students to read
it in the last two years :-)
Not that they needed much forcing: with _Twenty Thousand Leagues Under
the Seas_, _Hatteras_ is uniformly one of the Verne texts that my
students rank at the top of their preferences. And a good bit of that
ranking is owed to the qualities of Bill's translations and
annotations of both novels for OUP.
