As we recently came into spring, you can imagine my suprise when I woke
up this morning and found this in my garden.Four inches of snow no less
(and in the middle of London as well!). Now this to me and Passepartout
was a common occurance, but to my wife and William it was an entirely
new concept especially as neither of them had seen this amount of snow
all at the same time and so over breakfast they decided that it would
be impossible for William to attend school and based on that decision
it was agreed that Passepartout and my wife would look after William
whilst I had to brave the elements and go to Westminster (more's the
shame as I used to be the old whizz at snowball fights)I arrived at
Westminster just as the snow stopped and when I looked at the Palace
that houses both the Commons and the Lords, it took my breath away, so
making sure I wasn't seen I took this box of tricks and asked it to
take a picture. No sooner had I taken the picture, than I felt someone
tap me on the shoulder. I quickly hid the box of tricks underneath my
coat and turned round to be greeted by my parliamentary colleague Mr.
Allen (who represents Pembroke and Haverfordwest in Wales) and he asked
me what I was doing. I replied that I was just admiring the view and
think I managed to keep my box of tricks a secret.
