Tampa's Krewe of the Nautilus

It might interest my fellow Vernians to note that among the 72-odd krewes that particpate in parades and charities in the Tampa Bay area is the "Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautlius". It was founded in 2003, has a mixed membership of about 85, and is based in Riverview. They had their float in the Krewe of Sant Yago Knight Parade in Ybor City last night (Feb 14th). Their float is a large, rather plain, green, squarish-tubular Nautilus, but with a nifty Giant Squid whose tentacles light up. Nothing special about thier uniforms or beads, but I might have missed that in the mayhem. Their website seems to be www.nautiluskrewe.com. Yours, David McCallister
