Today I have been visiting an old friend of mine who lives in the city
of dreaming spires (otherwise known as Oxford). He's a member of the
clergy and has just agreed to officate at the service to celebrate our
11th year of marriage by retaking our vows, however he is a little
prone to getting his words mixed up. That person is the Reverend
William Archibald Spooner (and I understand according to Professor
Smith he's quite famous for his mistakes in the future). He is always
very friendly and welcomed me with a friendly "Fhileas Phogg, how mice
to neet you again!". I thanked him for his welcome and asked if I could
speak to him on the matter of retaking our vows of marriage to which he
agreed wholeheartedly. As he was looking through his book of
appointments he remarked that he never believed I would be married to
which I replied "To hue is ermine!".We settled on July 17th at the
local church near to Saville Row where I was hoping to be married if
circumstances hadn't got in the way and as per usual I will of coure be
commenting on it. Oh, that reminds me, I got a letter this morning from
the US Embassy. I hope that it's nothing too problematical betwen the
UK and the US. Being at the end of a riot over the Alabama Claim was
too much for me!
