Indeed, there is an important strain of JV film productions, from Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries, as I note in my review of the latest such contribution in Verniana. And presenting 20K and Voyage au centre (which I analyze in my article on films from the novel at
http://www.najvs.org/articles/JCErev.shtml) thru WF as miniseries and features are no less arresting variations on the original.
