An author by any other name?

Back in the 1980's due to the success of the Back to the Future films, a
cartoon series was created by CBS based on the film. One of the episodes is
called "A Verne by any other name" (a play on owrds from the Shakespeare
quote) and is set when one of Professor Brown's sons (called Jules and
Verne) wonders where he got such a "dopey" (his words, not mine) name from
