It reminds me of the Irish joke: if you were going there, I certainly
wouldn't start from here! While Wikipedia is in general a wonderful
resource, the Verne section is hopeless. What would need doing, as a
minimum, is the following:
* scrap the existing biography page
* remove the American bias from the Verne pages
* take account of the research of the past 40 years, mostly not in
English
* avoid repeating half-truths, myths, inventions and stereotypes.
While I wish you luck, I'm not optimistic substantial change can be made.

Subject: Wikipedia articles
While my computer is bust I have been trying to update some Wikipedia
articles. The ones I have been workiing on are Earth to the Moon, Around the
Moon, Mysterious Island, Lewis Mercier, Stephen White, W.H.G. Kingston. I
have not tried to rewrite everything and some of the articles have grown too
long with additional material added in, The wikipedia beagles keep deleting
new stuff too so it is an ongoiing process. Also old links disappear and
need to be replaced. Let me know if there is anything in particular you
think needs to be changed in any of the Wikipedia articles and I will do my
best.
