Hi Chris .No problem, although my intention is just to share it with all the jvf members. That's way I asked the members to come up with an idea of a some sort of posting it where everybody can download it for free.Over the years I watched the forum discussions wondering how come nobody knew that of all the movies( I know most of them) using Jules Verne novels this was the only one which tried to reproduce the original pictures. My deep regret is that I don't know if our generous founder watched the movie( I was very busy a that time to post what I knew).I assumed so because there was a lot of immigration to Israel from former USSR and the old ones were exposed to these movies .Roamnia(I am romanian not russian) like all the other communist countries got very much into Jules Verne culture and all the eastern European communist countries were suppose to import the big brother's movies. We also watched in my country the 1961 Hollywood version of Mysterious Island which we found laughable .In 1976 in Buchare
st it was a movie week of Jules Verne movies western and comuniste ones and we had a chance to compare them(we didn't have the ones from the 20s)Captain at Fifteen was another good russian movie but only "The Mysterious Island" tried to be a copy of the original gravures.Unless somebody watch it, it is impossible to believe that a director took such incredible pains to reconstruct the gravures almost to incredible degrees. The music is good although a little bit upbeat (maybe this is the stalinist propaganda creeping into their arts or maybee they figure out that it was the real pioneer spirit)but if you shot down the sound you then have the pictures of the book coming alive.I know that is hard to believe it .Sincerly yours Emil
