STEALH MODE DISENGAGING
Oooooh, my aching head. What happened? I feel like I've gone 15 rounds
in a bare knuckle match and won. (splutters) Urgh, moondust!
(splutters) Yuck, tastes like grit. What happened? The last thing I
remember is about to slide down the Columbiad and imprint my footprints
on the moon and the next thing I know I'm lying face down in moondust.
Looks like my entry into the history books will be a little less
graceful than yours, eh Father? Father? Where's he gone? Passepartout?
Passepartout? Mr. Barbicane? Where have they gone? If this is some kind
of lunar hide and seek I'm not liking it. My word, the box of tricks,
what's that doing lying on the ground. My father never lets it go.
Perhaps it can tell me what happened.
Sliding down the Columbiad, yes, making a historic statement, yes,
Selenites? What's a Selenite? Ah, listings of species known. Could be
useful, right, S for Selenite? Sea Devils, no, Silurians, no, too far,
ah, Selenite here we are.
Selenite:
Native creature of the moon first encountered by Time Lords in 640 AD.
Time Lords? Worry about them later.
Theorised to have become extinct in 1350 AD following the Sontaran
Incident.
Appearance: Long legged humanoid with ant like features. Capable of
short range telepathy. Although generally considered harmless, past
interactions with other species have made them very xenophobic to the
point of declaring war.
Weapon of choice: Disruptor that can knock out a human for fifteen
minutes.
Well, that explains what happened. Brr, is it me or has it suddenly
gone cold. Let's have a rummage around the Columbiad and see if I can
find anything warm. My word, 50 feet in a single bound. Ah, lack of
gravity according to this box of tricks. Now, let's have a look. Fur
coat, yes, that should be helpful as will those fur boots. Deerstalker
Hat should keep my ears warm and a hot water bottle and a container of
hot water. My word, Mr. Barbicane really did think of everything didn't
he?
Oh yes, that's lovely and warm and toasting. Now, once more unto the
breach and off to find my father and rescue them from these Selenites.
