Despite the awful weather we managed to arrive at the Reform Club just
a little after sunset only to realise that the snow was pelting down.
Thankfully my fellow Club members knew what we needed and half an hour
later we were all tucking in to hot Stilton soup with a hint of chili
which was warming us up a treat. However, the increasing rate of
snowfall was a slight concern to me.

Just as I was wondering how I was going to get back home, I suddenly
became aware of a noise from the library below us and a few moments
later the doors to the room burst open and in strode the Doctor
shouting "The Doctor is in". I instantly jumped up and shook the Doctor
by the hand and welcomed him to London in December 1885 and took him
aside whilst Passepartout explained to the quite frankly astounded
membership who the Doctor was and what he was doing in the Reform Club.
After a few moments of discussions, the Doctor took the Christmas
pudding I had in the bag I had bought and announced he would be back in
a moment.

Sure enough a few moments he returned with the pudding suitably aged a
year and agreed to take us back to Westwood Hall to enjoy the Christmas
holidays. We bid farewell to our friends at the Reform Club (who I
think deserve a letter of explaination after all this) and were led by
the Doctor to his TARDIS. He opened the door and gestured us in. I knew
partially what to expect from William's description but I have to admit
that Passepartout's "Mon Dieu" was a fair reaction.

After consulting with the Doctor as to where Westwood Hall was, he
invited me to pull a lever whch I did and was promptly thrown into a
nearby seat and Passepartout was thrown to the floor. Just as I
recovered and was about to complain in the strongest possible terms,
the Doctor announced "Westwood Hall". I picked myself up, dusted myself
down and taking the house key from my pocket left the TARDIS and walked
straight into a snowman that William had built by the front door. "Your
driving" I said, half muffled by the snowman, "leaves a lot to be
desired, Doctor!"

Thankfully we are now all settled in and will be ready to celebrate
Christmas properly starting tomorrow.
