It may be the coldest New Year's Eve I can remember but that hasn't
stopped
us from getting ready to welcome in 1886 this evening. Thanks to the
Doctor
(who's been so busy collecting things) we have all the food and all we
are
waiting for are the guests (provided by said Doctor again). He was a
little
coy about who he wanted to bring but said that "Everyone who we have met
since I started this diary would be present", in fact I think I can
hear the
TARDIS now, so we will be able to see who he's brought.
No great suprise in the first guests, it's my fellow Reform Club
members.
Welcome to Westwood Hall, gentlemen. And who's this? Why it's the Prime
Minister. Sorry for the rather unusual method of invitation, sir, but
it was
a rather last moment decision. Goodness me, Mr. Barbicane, what are you
doing here? Oh, now come on, all I did was help you land on the moon
that's
all. And Captain Harkness as well, goodness, anyone else? No, you're
kidding
me Doctor? My lords, ladies and gentlemen, pray silence for Sir
Lancelot of
Camelot and his son Gregory. I hope this isn't too much of a culture
shock
for you. Anyway, do excuse me, can't write much when I am hosting a
party
can I? Before I do go, I would like to wish you all a very Happy New
Year
