Ayn,
Amazon is distinctly careless in not distinguishing different editions and
translations of a given novel, and in this case using "Look Inside" takes
you to a different edition, which itself merely recycles an old translation.
The main page cites "THE MAN who held in his hand the document of which this
strange assemblage of letters formed the concluding paragraph remained for
some moments lost...", which is also from the old translation. So, on that
basis, it can't really be recommended.
Incidentally, the fine cover photo may be taken from Wikipedia, which claims
it is out of copyright worldwide, although the situation does not seem
entirely clear.
Best regards,
Bill
