In german, there are at least two joint editions of the texts, but the Sphinx heavily abridged. Cheers, Volker

Betreff: Pym and Sphinx

Apparently the first joint edition of both Poe's Pym and JV's Sphinx des glaces has been published in English, under the title Pym by Coachwhip Publications in 2008--using the 1897 English translation that was retitled An Antarctic Mystery.

There were previous editions of both books in the Fitzroy series, but much abbreviated, and a Penguin edition from 1975 that included a fragment of Sphinx.

I wonder if this is indeed the first such "complete" joint edition -- and if it is as unusual in other languages as in English?
