Dear Christian, dear all,
my textcount software (TextCount 6.1) gives the following result (with the
"word" count not referring to "real" words, but words longer than 8
characters are counted as two words) :
File Characters Words
IleMysterieuse.doc 1.222.522 233.013
Grant.doc 1.203.413 227.768
Sandorf.doc 1.119.885 213.431
TOTAL 4.412.990 839.493
Results of the Microsoft Word statistics (characters incl. spaces -- and
words as "real" words):
ILE MYSTERIEUSE:
  1,214,119 characters
     201,625 words
GRANT:
   1,198,583 characters
      198,452 words
SANDORF
   1,120,201 characters
      187,731 words
Best regards,
Ralf
