  I looked at this and also experienced the Error 500 (Internal Server Error) after trying a search. These are generic Apache errors that usually mean one of two things:


  * Apache configuration statements in a .htaccess file or a similar location contain errors.
  * a Perl or other CGI script have one or more problems in syntax or ownership/permissions.


  The latter is probably the case since the search form on http://jv.gilead.org.il/forum/search.html points to htsearch.cgi to process the input data. Years ago when I taught Perl classes (as well as my specialty of PHP, Linux, Apache, MySQL) I wrote an article discussing some techniques for resolving error 500 situations like these. Possibly the hosting was moved and the search was broken at that point. The code might still work but is not given the right ownership and permissions to run in this environment. I don't have sufficient access to the server to diagnose the problem further.



  To resolve your immediate need, Google will let you do a site-specific search of material within its index. This can be done by URL such as this "Tom Swift" search against the archive:


  http://www.google.com/#q="Tom+Swift"+site:jv.gilead.org.il%2Fforum


  Or you can visit the regular http://www.Google.com site and end your search with site:jv.gilead.org.il/forum and pressing the search button.


  An advanced Google search will also permit you to specify the site against which to search.
