Drake,

A week before his more infamous radio broadcast, Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre did a production of “Around the World in 80 Days”.

It looks like you can download a copy here…

Subject: Jules Verne Radio Shows

Hello everyone!

I recently found this link to a vintage 8-part radio series based on "A Journey to the Center of the Earth":

http://www.oldradioworld.com/shows/Journey_to_the_Center_of_the_Earth.php

I have not been able to find any more information about the series other than what is given on the web page. I have not had the opportunity to listen to all of the episodes yet, but I plan to soon. Does anybody know how accurate they are? Were there any other old radio adaptions of Verne's books? I know that thousands of old radio shows have been lost because they were not recorded, or because the recordings were destroyed. If anyone has more information on the topic, I am sure that many people besides myself would find it of great interest. Thanks!

Drake
