Dear Alex,
according to the 2005 study by late Mr. Horak on the most celebrated Czech publisher of Verne, during Nazi occupation of Czech Republic, the stock of Claudius Bombarnac was confiscated because Germans were badly depicted in the character of Baron Weisschnitzdöfer. New editions of Verne were prohibited, bacause he was French.
