A friend sent me this ... perhaps our French members are more familiar with these stage producitons.

Hi Brian,

I found something this morning thought I should send it to you. It seems there was a play based on 20,000 Leagues that was performed in Paris back in 2008, and among the scenes - the giant squid attacked the audience. Here's the "Official Clips" of the show that was shown on French TV  http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9w1y2_clip-officiel-de-20-000-lieues-sous_creation - it looks like it must have been very fun & imaginative show for the family. Here's a french newscast interview with the star & it shows some different clips - especially of the squid in relation to the audience.

20,000 was also performed by a cast of marionettes - and this looks like it must have been a delightful production, too! Check out this video! http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xamjjq_annonce-20-000-lieues-sous-les-mers_creation

Enjoy,
