Jean-Pierre

Dear Volker, thank you for your support. Your very good comments about of the commentaries and notes of two JV Pléiades books had, I think, delighted the contributors to this edition. They are in any case a valuable testimony to its quality. The big question is: does Gallimard plan to publish the 100 (approximately) volumes of VE? This would, if I remember correctly, about 20 Pléiade books ... quite a challenge.
Best,
Jean-Pierre

Chapeau!!

> I agree with Jean-Pierre in regretting the way how the Album Pléiade is sold on ebay for a high price; anyway, it's difficult for interested readers to get a copy otherwise. The commentaries and notes of the two volumes are a real success, and the Album offers a well-documented biography with interesting images

Actually I am looking on a good number of them offered at ebay.fr, but additionally to the price there is almost allways a high amount for postage...

I am not sure that Internet merchants such as Amazon et al. offer the same service. I personally got my Pleiade "Album Jules Verne" in a FNAC book shop (buying the 2 JV vol. and the Edgar Allan Poe vol. "Oeuvres en prose").

I am not sure how this works by mail, but it would be worthwhile asking the seller about it. The album was edited by Francois Angelier and has splendid images and photographs I had never seen. I could make additional inquiries about the album if anyone is interested.
